No longer in Dumaguete

I have left Dumaguete and I find myself walking the streets of Cagayan de Oro trying to make something of this life which I call my own. I would like to talk about the little experiment which I made while still in Dumaguete and see if there is some progress in my life. Living in Daro has been fine but the thing that bothered me most was the doldrums, the lack of motive power to propel my life forward. I could not think of going anywhere except Cagayan de Oro City where I had spent many, many years.

Did I say it was an experiment? It might have started that way but it certainly took on a life of its own and I am now standing on the top of a mountain, feeling the strong wind on my face and hair and hands and body, my clothes clinging to my skin as it feels the forces that seem to lash at me. Is it lashing or something else? I am digressing but you know the thought. I will bring more into these pages as events unfold. I made a little something in Cagayan de Oro and I must say that I should be doing more of it and less of the other things that keep me busy. Well, I have this life and it is a truly wonderful one. Did I say wonderful? That is something quite foreign-sounding now because I hated my life then.

Cagayan de Oro City and being there has certainly changed my perspective on things. For one thing, I see the crush of people on the streets of Divisoria and I cannot take them for granted as mere hindrance or nuisance although that could be an accurate description.

I was in Cagayan de Oro for five months and it is good to be back in Dumaguete even if it is for just a week. Soon it will be Fiesta time again and Rejoice hardware will celebrate it with their usual support for the patron saint. I should be doing more and more visiting here in Dumaguete but I do need to spend some time in cdo.

I have planted some lakatan bananas and it is great to see them growing very nicely. I have a few other things in my mind and I would be gratified to get my thoughts applied to reality.

I doesn't really take much effort or time to do some seo and to keep the content of my sites fresh. I have so many ideas that bubble up and overflow and if I do not put them on my sites they would just fly away and evaporate to the ether or wherever. The main thing is I am learning a few things and doing them seems to help and make a dent on the monolith which is the combined efforts of many people and many machines. The Internet is one big monolith but it does keep changing somewhat. Not big changes but small ones based on what people are doing. I am learning a little bit more and this knowledge might come in handy someday.

Anyway, here's Cagayan de Oro City with another one: Cagayan de Oro City. My Cebu City site has made pr1, surprise, surprise. Dumaguete is still in the boondocks as far as Google goes but Dumaguete has made some headway. Check out: Jai Alexander.

They have such narrow streets like Cagayan de Oro has which is something that the old city fathers never dreamed would be insufficient. Cities grow and Dumaguete is no exception to this. Everything in the Philippines is growing and as more people flock to the urban areas, there is congestion.

Dumaguete might go the way of other cities which are growing faster than their infrastructure can support. Water and electricity are sure to become problems in the future. Concerts at the Silliman Gym are being organized with Bands and talents from Cebu lending their music and comedy skits to entertain the Dumaguete Folks.
